Helping women live well during and after breast cancer treatment

Personal and compassionate physiotherapy.

My aim is to get you to live well during and after your treatment.

My Breast Cancer Rehab service aims to help women live well during and after breast cancer treatment.

Women who are going though or have been through breast cancer treatment face many challenges in both the short and long term, from :

  • decreased shoulder function

  • fatigue

  • scar pain

  • reduced  exercise tolerance

  • menopausal symptoms amongst which are joint stiffness and tendon pain in addition to sleep, weight, anxiety and pelvic health issues.

In a 1 to 1 in-person format with treatment personalised to your needs, I will address all of these issues. I also focus on longer term issues such as bone health and overall strength, mobility and wellness strategies including stress management and relaxation techniques.

The aim is to get you to live well during and after your treatment.

Hormonal therapies such as tamoxifen and aromatase inhibitors e.g. letrozole put many women into an abrupt menopause which results in many of the musculoskeletal issues that I see in my general population of menopausal women.

These are symptoms that can be helped and managed better with physiotherapy input. I can help you to differentiate what is causing the pain and refer on if necessary for different treatment.

I recommend a number of additional resources that will help you on your cancer journey. Visit my resources page for more information.
